CHURCH DEVELOPMENT
“The church is responsible thus far for 70% of the rebuilding in Southern Sudan.”
Bishop Elias Taban of the EPC church (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) is involved in many building projects in Southern Sudan. Elias has survived the war and sees the signing of peace as an opportunity for Southern Sudan to grow strong. More importantly, Elias sees it as an opportunity for the church to step up and fulfill many of the needs that are present. Bishop Elias Taban is a strong ally and supporter of Nadus Films. Elias will be apart of the work that Nadus and other partners will be doing in Southern Sudan.
Rebecca Nyadeng is the widow of the late president John Garrang. Dr. Garrang was killed in a helicopter crash in July of 2005. This was only months after the signing of the peace agreement between the north and south. The signing of the peace agreement was what John and Rebecca had worked towards for 20+ years. Previously, it was assumed that the helicopter crash was weather related. Now, Rebecca believes her husband was assassinated by the North. Nadus films was the first film company to sit down with Rebecca and discuss with her the details of her husbands death/assassination. There are strong rumors that Rebecca will run for president of Southern Sudan in 2009. Rebecca is a Christian and has asked that the church be supported and sponsored during this time of rebuilding.

Enoch is a village elder within the EPC church. Nadus focused largely on Enoch in fulfilling the pastoral/church needs in Southern Sudan.
